House for an Art Lover dining room furniture now being commissioned is built to the same standards as the museum piece, using the same traditional techniques and materials.

Hand crafted from the finest American Oaks, the original furniture displays the elegant lines typical of the artist's work. The table, measuring 8ft by 4 ft is inlaid with stained glass bearing Mackintosh's famous stylised rose motif. The high backed chairs (2 carvers and 6 chairs) have seats of woven sea grass and are hand stencilled. All pieces are finished and French polished using traditional techniques.

Whilst remaining true to the original drawings, Mackintosh Creations can tailor the furniture to client requirements, with a table of anything between 8 ft and 20 ft long. Clients might also prefer an alternative to the woven sea grass chair seats, or a different woodstain to match their own décor. Single pieces of furniture can also be commissioned.

Whether a single chair or the entire suite, each piece is numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the craftsmen at Mackintosh Creations. Photographs of the suite in the Art Lovers House and of Rennie Mackintosh's original drawings also accompany the furniture.
